Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of APC scored 68 votes to win the position of the Deputy Senate President of the 9th Assembly. He defeated Former deputy Senate president, Senator Ike Ekweremadu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 37 votes.
