What Mourinho said after Guardiola surpassed his title winning records

Jose Mourinho, former Man United Manager has reacted to the news that Pep Guardiola has surpassed his title winning records.

The record on ground is that Mourinho has won 25 major titles throughout his coaching career prior to when he was sacked by Manchester United last December 2018, while Guardiola courtesy his recent preimership victory with Man City has won 26 titles and may likely make it 27 if they beat Watford on Saturday 18th May in the FA Cup final.

Mourinho when L’Equipe brought to his notice that Pep Guardiola has won more title than him, reacted by saying;

“No, no, it reminds me that I’m there, with 25 titles,”

“When I won the Champions League with Porto and Inter Milan, if I had stayed, the season after I would have had the European Super Cup, the Club World Cup and the national Super Cup and perhaps I would have ended up with 31 titles.

“Maybe I’m not so focused on the figures!”
