An Enugu based Archbishop of the Methodist Church, Most Rev. Christopher Ede has asked Nigerians not to relent in praying for the nation’s peace as the country awaits tribunal verdicts.
Most Rev. Christopher Ede at the church 44th Synod held at Emmanuel Methodist Church, Nsukka in Enugu State, made this clarion call to all peace loving Nigerians.
Rev. Ede also advised President Buhari to make some changes in the security arrangement of the country and he should make sure the best hands are chosen without nepotism because security should be place above everything.
“The 2019 general elections had come and gone. For some it is won and lost and to others it has opened a litany of litigation.
“As we await the May 29 inauguration of newly elected officers, I congratulate all those who have won and urge magnanimity and inclusiveness.
“For some who felt disappointed at the outcome of the elections in some areas, I will only admonish that St. Paul has said that no one can be in authority unless God enables him.
“Even evil leaders can be used by God for His purpose. So let us just keep praying for those in authority as is our spiritual duty as believers’’.
