2023: Amaechi is now the Chief Promoter of Nepotism and Injustice – Ohanaeze Youths

Is Amaechi now the Chief promoter of nepotism and injustice?

Well, Ohanaeze Youth Council thinks so.

The Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, has on Sunday, attacked Rotimi Amaechi, Nigerian Transportation Minister over his comment that Ndigbo should forget about aspiring to produce the President in 2023 since they did not support the All Progressives Congress, APC and Buhari’s second tenure rather they voted immensely for Atiku Abubakar.

The National Secretary of Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike has Reacted to the statement credited to Amaechi that Igbos should forget about the presidency in 2023 because they failed to support the APC. He said such statement shows that the Honourable Minister is now the principal promoter of injustice.

Okwu went ahead to say that Amaechi is trying to arrogate to himself the kind of power he never have. He called the statement “insult of the highest order”.

“This is one of the most awkward and disappointing statements we have heard in recent times. It is partly good so that we see those who do not mean well for this country, those who do not cherish a united Nigeria built on equity.

Okwu also claim that the reason Amaechi is making such statement is because he has the ambition to run for 2023 presidency.

Read his statement below;

“It is most unfortunate that Amaechi, from the South-South zone, which had the total support of the Southeast when Goodluck Jonathan was in power, should come out to disparage our people.

“This is nothing else but a dance of shame in the public place, especially as it came from the same man who had before the election declared that for equity sake, the Southeast will produce president in 2023. Amaechi has now sacrificed equity; he is now the chief promoter of nepotism and injustice.”

“One thing that must be made clear to him is that he does not hold the key to the political future of Ndigbo. He also cannot dictate to us or railroad us into making any particular political choice. Our own destiny is in our hands and that of God.

“However, we want to make it clear to him that his presidential ambition is also dead on arrival. Having shown Nigerians that he is sale-out, one whose words cannot be trusted, there is no headway for him. This 360 degrees turn is nothing but one borne out of his inordinate ambition to become APC presidential candidate in 2023”.

The question in the minds of most Nigerians is why a person of the status of Amaechi will make such statement.

Is he truly the Chief promoter of nepotism and injustice?

What if Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is right?

Anyway, let’s wait for 2023. It will answer our puzzle.
