Naomi Osaka sued by her Coach

Naomi Osaka, tennis world number one has been sued by her former coach, Christophe Jean who is requesting 20% of her career earnings for life.

Christophe Jean who claimed he signed a contract with Naomi’s father and the details of the contract is that he will earn 20% of her career earnings. He was hired by Leonard Francois, Naomi’s father to train Naomi and her sister Mari. According to the former coach, he started training the world number one when she was 13 years old

Christophe Jean claims to have a copy of the contract where Naomi’s father agreed that the term of the deal is “indefinite.”

Jean has sued Naomi and he has included the terms of the deal signed with her father in the suit which is filed in a state court in Florida.

Who knows what will become the outcome of this case?

Will it be right for Naomi who is now a super star to pay for what her father signed on her behalf even without her consent?
