Every Spirit of Thuggery in Nigeria shall be Silenced
Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo, has frown on the way politicians celebrate and are proud of rigged elections in the country.
Oyedepo who on Sunday, 3rd of March, in Ota, Ogun State, where the church headquarter is located, prayed that the nation of Nigeria will not experience war during and after the elections. Bishop Oyedepo condemned the rigging and irregularities that was prevelent in the just concluded Presidential and National Assemblies elections.
The head of the Winners Chapel said that developed countries are using digitized method to vote while Nigeria still queue up to vote. According to him, thugs will still come and intimidate voters and hijack ballot boxes.
He said, “it’s a shame how politicians in this part of the world are proud of elections marred with rigging.”
Oyedepo, who is the founder Covenant University said any student caught in exam malpractice, will be expel, no matter how highly placed the parents are.
The Bishop prayed that every spirit of thuggery in Nigeria shall be silenced and every forces that would not let Nigeria rest shall be laid to rest and silenced forever. He also asked God to avert any possible bloodshed in any part of the country that may come after the election.
