Falconets draw China 1-1 to progress to quarterfinals in FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup

Falconets of Nigeria came from a goal down to level scores with China U-20 women team in the on going 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Linyan Zhang gave the Chinese side the lead in the 41st minute when she scored against the Nigerian side.

The Falconets needed a draw to qualify for the next round but many of there chances were blocked by the Chinese goalkeeper Huan Xu. She did everything to stop the Falconet from getting a goal.

Rasheedat Ajibade who converted Aishat Bello’s cross to goal shattered the Chinese who were about celebrating. But the celebration eluded them rather it was the Falconets that celebrated after 96 minutes of tantalizing football.

The draw means that the Falconets are through to the quarterfinals of 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
