Ojukwu May become the next executive secretary of the National Human Rights Commission

President Buhari is seeking Senate confirmation for Anthony Okechuwku Ojukwu as the executive secretary of the NHRC.
President Muhammadu Buhari is seeking Senate confirmation for Anthony Okechuwku Ojukwu as the executive secretary of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

It was stated in the President’s letter read at plenary by Senate President Bukola Saraki on Tuesday, December 5, 2017.

The NHRC  is a body established in 1995 to assists victims of human rights violations and also helps the government’s policies on human rights, with Oti Ovrawah as the current acting executive secretary.
