The Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption Chairman, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), has revealed the reason why the Federal Government delayed the payment of commission to the whistle-blower who informed the EFCC of the money loot in an apartment in Ikoyi.
Having made enquiries about the financial stability of the whistleblower, prof. Itse Sagay(SAN) said he looks like someone who cannot receive such huge sum of money because he might likely run mental and also attract danger to himself.
The Federal Government wants to provide him with a counsellor who will help him use the money efficiently especially in investment.
The general public should know that nobody is denying him of this commission but they want to help him, though he thinks the Federal Government might end up not paying him as promised.
Sagay agreed with the Government to pay him the commission in ‘portion’ so that he will not throw it away letting the whistleblower know that the Government has a whole lot to do with money but since it’s a promise it must be fulfilled.
According to report, the owner of this apartment is yet to be brought to book and the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on National Security and Intelligence, Sani Jaji, said that the committees are getting messages from different quarters, attempting to influence their report as well as reframing from mentioning names of the real culprit behind the Loot.
