President Buhari Inaugurate Audit Committee on Loot

During Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, November 22, 2017, the President Muhammadu Buhari inaugurated a 3 member committee to audit all assets recovered by government agencies on loot.

In the presence of cabinet ministers, the president swore in Olufemi Lijadu, Chinyere Bibiogha, and Mohammad Nami and directed them to audit all remittances up till April 2017.

He said the committee will be saddled with the responsibility of auditing all accounts in which the recovered assets were lodged to ensure all reports submitted to him were accurate and concise.

The president had earlier asked all relevant government agencies to submit detailed reports of all recoveries up to March 2017 to his office and issued an ultimatum to other ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) that have not complied to do so within the next 4 weeks.
