PDP December Convention already jeopardized — Lagos lawmaker

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) convention that is scheduled for December might end up not achieving the primary purpose due to its decision to zone executive seat within the state. This was made known to the public by the minority leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Dipo Olorunrinu. The primary and desired purpose of the party is to remove power completely from the All Progressive Congress (APC) come 2019, but from the look of things the party may not fulfill this goal owing to the fact that the party’s National caretaker committee led by Senator Ahmed Makarfi has failed important members in the preparations for the forthcoming party’s national convention.

The lawmaker representing Amuwo-Odofin Constituency I, said that the leadership of the party (PDP) cannot cut corners and think they can achieve success. According to him, zoning may not bring proper harmonization in the party and it will finally jeopardize the coming convention.
