INEC to deploy 400,000 ad-hoc staff to Anambra

During the Election Management System Implementer Workshop for INEC Anambra state, in Awka on Monday. The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Dr. Nkwachukwu Orji, told the public that INEC has concluded to deploy 400,000 ad-hoc staff from across the states to Anambra state for the governorship election come 18th of November.

A call for seriousness from all participants in the training was demanded by   Professor Bolade Eyinla who stood in as a representative for The National Commissioner of INEC South East, Professor Okechukwu Ibeanu ,he made them understood that this act would determine whether the result gotten from the election would be positive or negative; though we all wish for peaceful, fair and transparent election. Dr. Orji said that the card readers that would be used this time around for the election had been tested and were working perfectly but the configuration of the cards would take 4 days from now.

The Project Manager of the European Center for Election Support, the trainer Mr. David Le Notre, further stressed the need for the training.
