Halt Fresh Recruitment or Face Sanctions – President Tells MDAs

There would be no recruitment into ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) in 2018 without my consent and approval, says Mr. President

This was stated with all clarity during the 2018 budget presentation at the National Assembly on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. His reasons were quite considerate; it was to handle a rising personnel expenditure that was expected to increase to 12 percent in 2018.
As an instruction, Buhari also directed all MDAs to halt fresh recruitment unless they have gotten all approval or face sanctions that follow.

President Buhari noted that 30.8 percent of the N8.6 trillion budgets would be focused on capital budget and that the budget would be financed by new borrowings estimated at N1.699tn.
