Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state has made a call on Abdulrasheed Maina to expose all the corrupt people in President Buhari’s government.
The embattled former Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms’ said those around Mr. President are not telling him the truth and asked the President to give him a chance to prove his innocence.
In reaction to Maina’s interview, Fayose said that he is very sure Buhari will not take any action towards this scam and this would have been the best opportunity to prove to Nigerians that his fight against corruption is real not just words of mouth but since it involved his closet men he would not do anything about it.
My advice to Maina is to go ahead and tell Nigerians who the real thieves are among Buhari’s men and proof you are innocent; there is really no need waiting for the president to carry out an investigation on the pension scam. He concluded
Maina made an open challenge to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), asking the Federal Government to set up an independent investigation panel. The President on his own part has challenged Abdurasheed Maina to reveal all those who had a hand in his reinstatement to office.
