Governor Nasir el-Rufai is all out to sack 21,000 teachers to employ “politically loyal teachers” that will work for him as polling agents in 2019. The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debts, Senator Shehu Sani (APC, Kaduna), said this yesterday.
We all know that Sani and El-Rufai have been two sides of the coin lately but the truth be told this decision he described as purely inhuman and the height of wickedness because this action will only end up inflicting pains on the masses.
Come to think of it how can a governor who spent N10bn feeding school children only now realize that the teachers who have been taking care of this children are incompetent? Sani asked.
He added that el-Rufai’s action had brought nothing but “chaos and confusion in public schools in Kaduna.”
He commended 2 other senators from Kaduna State: Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi and Senator Danjuma Leah, for their objection to the mass sacking of teachers in Kaduna State.
