An accusation of ‘hijacking’ the party PDP before her schedule convention by some members of party’s Board of Trustees (BoT) in the South West has been laid by a broadcast guru and one of the party’s chairmanship aspirant Chief Raymond Dokpesi.
Information reaching us by some of the members said just last week three notable persons were sorted out and they were; former governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel; former governorship candidate in Lagos State, Jimi Agbaje and former governor of Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja
Currently, the south-west chapter has three aspirants which are: Chief Bode George, a former deputy national chairman of PDP, Prof. Adedoja Taoheed, a former minister of Education, Prof. Tunde Adeniran, ex-minister of Sports and Special Duties, as those the region would consider.
Shortly after submitting the nomination form at the national secretariat, Mr. Dokpesi had a chat with newsmen where he said personally he did not buy the decision from BoT members of the south-west.
It appears that some group of people under the BoT umbrella wants to detect the activities of the party because from findings made some aspirant have been holding meetings with those that matter in the party alongside some hush-hush discussion.
Rumor has it that BoT has given their support to some aspirants as their candidate for the office of the national chairman. This cannot be confirmed because the BoT said they have never met.
